Which file do I need?

  • Windows (7, 8, 10): betaflight-configurator-installer_<version>_win32.exe;
  • Mac OS X: betaflight-configurator_<version>_macOS.dmg;

Release Notes

This release contains all of the changes necessary to support version 3.5 of the Betaflight firmware. If you are using firmware 3.5, it is essential that you upgrade to this version, in order to get support for configuring the new features of 3.5.

In addition to this we have made the following improvements:

  • the new flight performance features that were introduced in Betaflight 3.4 and 3.5 are now configurable in the GUI;
  • all different builds (including latest development builds and builds of the stable 3.5. maintenance branch) can now be downloaded and installed from within the firmware flasher tab, if Expert Mode is enabled;
  • the new 'Vision' font was added as an option in OSD, and adding a custom boot logo was made simpler;
  • when reconnecting after the flight controller has disconnected (e.g. for a 'Save & Reboot'), the previously open tab will be reopened;
  • we are now collecting anonymous statistics on the use of features and protocols. We will be using this as a source of information to make better decisions on what features should be kept on F3 targets when flash space needs to be freed up. See our new privacy policy for details on this. There is also the option to opt out of the data collection.

If your platform is not supported, but can run a recent version of Chrome, please follow these instructions to install the Betaflight Configurator from the Chrome web store.

As usual, please report any bugs you find back to us by opening an issue here.

Important Notice:

There is a bug in this version that can cause invalid filter settings to be stored when a flight controller running a pre 3.4 version of Betaflight is configured with it. For this reason this version has been retracted. Please use version 10.3.1 instead.

  • Japanese and Portugese have been added to the list of supported languages.

It now comes with an installer, and in your language of choice

Benvingut, Willkommen, Welcome, Bienvenido, Bienvenue, 환영! 😃

We promised it last time round, now we are delivering: With this release of the Configurator now comes as an executable installer for Windows and a .deb package for debian / ubuntu / ... linux users (sorry, Red Hat guys, we're looking into a .rpm, you'll have to use the .zip file for a bit longer). And MacOS still has the .dmg that was introduced in 10.0.0.

The second big change is that the Configurator now comes localised in Catalan, German, English, Spanish, French, and Korean. If the language of your operating system is set to any of these, the Configurator will automatically start in this language. If you prefer English - don't worry, it's still possible to start the configurator in English, and shortcuts for this are included in the app.

Shoutout to @McGiverGim and his team of translators who managed to get the entire application translated in record time! If you want to see the Configuration in your language, or to help in the effort to keep the existing languages up to date, please respond to #859.

As usual, please report issues back to https://github.com/betaflight/betaflight-configurator/issues.

Fixes:

  • lots of fixes to the standalone applications;
  • fixed CLI hanging on exit;
  • fixed stick position indicator in the rates curve;
  • fixed restoring of window size / position on restart.

New GUI support for the following firmware features:

  • added support for OSD temperature readout.

Improvements:

  • added translations for Catalan, German, English, Spanish, French, and Korean;
  • added installers for Windows and (debian) linux;
  • changed external links to open in a new window;
  • changed the number of 'arming disabled' reasons to match the number of beeps.

Standalone application for the post-Chrome-Web-Store era

Welcome to the new world. We hope you like it! 😉

The move to a standalone application has been made necessary by Google's announcement that they will be removing support for Chrome Web Store apps from all platforms (except ChromeOS) in 2018.

To install the application on your computer, download the archive for your platform, open it, and copy its contents onto your hard drive. (We will be looking into adding a fancy installer at a later stage.)

The standalone application does not support automatic updating like the Chrome Web app did. But there will be a popup shown on startup of the configurator whenever there is a newer version available, and you will be directed to visit the release page and download / install the new version.

Big thanks to @sebsx and @basdelfos for their tireless efforts to bring us the standalone application, and everybody else who helped with fixes and testing / feedback.

As usual, please report issues back to https://github.com/betaflight/betaflight-configurator/issues.

Fixes:

  • beeper configuration;
  • filter configuration enabling / disabling.

New GUI support for the following firmware features:

  • serial RX / SPI RX protocols;
  • OSD warnings and other OSD elements.

Improvements:

  • standalone application support;
  • automatically assign modes based on stick movement;
  • firmware version display in top bar;
  • documentation updates.
