Not that I want to start discussing it before the meeting, but I suggest reading this: https://www.brandonsavage.net/why-subversion-still-beats-git/
--Lem9 13:23, 21 January 2010 (CET)
I would not call that beating :-). Anyway I'm quite happy with git-svn for now, which hides most of svn annoyances from me.

Share my experiences with converting phpMyAdmin to use gettext and decide further directions with this idea.

We need help on this project, how can we persuade the community to increase its contribution?
--Lem9 12:42, 21 January 2010 (CET)
-> github, seems the easiest way to contribute to projects for "foreign" developers

Should we participate? Who wants to mentor? test? integrate? GSoC will accept applications for would-be mentoring organizations from March 8th to March 12th.

What will be the main focus in 2010? Refactoring? Small new features? Removing dust on the feature requests tracker?
--Lem9 12:42, 21 January 2010 (CET)
Preserving a fast and intuitive interface
--Helmo 14:01, 21 January 2010 (CET)
What can we learn from our competition, for example Adminer or SQLBuddy.
--Nijel 13:36, 21 January 2010 (CET)
With the uncertain position towards Oracle, how do we approach MySQL forks?
--Helmo 14:01, 21 January 2010 (CET)
Is this meeting the good place to discuss interface improvements? For example
- Menus
- configurable menus
- new menu grouping
- a new menu sublevel

Current release process works fine for the most parts.
Maybe we could hold off creating a MAINT branch until the version is really released. During the beta of 3.3.0 QA_3_3 and MAINT_3_3_0 are practically identical.
