Inward BHT Deposit and Credit Settlement Summary Report
The BHT Deposit and Credit Settlement Summary report gives billing and finance staff a single-row view, per admission (BHT), of the complete money picture for an inpatient stay: deposits paid in, payments made after the final bill, amounts billed and settled to credit companies (insurers), and the patient's remaining outstanding balance.
It replaces the need to check deposits, post-final payments, and credit settlements separately for a single BHT.

The report shows one row per BHT (admission).
Deposits — money the patient paid in during the admission, before the final bill:
- Deposit Cash
- Deposit Card
- Deposit Other
- Total Deposits
Post-Final Payments — money the patient paid after the final bill was raised (e.g. settling a due balance):
- Post-Final Cash
- Post-Final Card
- Post-Final Other
- Total Post-Final Payments
Credit (Insurance) — amounts billed to and settled by a credit company:
- Total Credit Billed — the amount invoiced to the credit company
- Credit Settled — the amount the credit company has actually paid so far
- Credit Balance — Total Credit Billed minus Credit Settled (what the insurer still owes)
- Credit Company — name(s) of the credit company/companies billed for this admission
Bill and Balance:
-
Final Bill No
-
Total Bill Value — the final bill amount for the admission
-
Total Balance — what the patient still owes:
Total Balance = Final Bill Value − (Total Deposits + Total Post-Final Payments + Total Credit Billed)Once an amount is billed to a credit company it is treated as no longer the patient's responsibility, even if the insurer hasn't paid it yet — that outstanding amount shows up in Credit Balance, not in Total Balance.
Column totals are shown in the table footer, and grand totals for deposits and credit settlements are shown below the table.

In the example above:
- BHT/55349 has no deposits or post-final payments, but Rs 12,000 was billed to credit companies (AIA Insurance Lanka PLC / Aitken Spence) and not yet settled. Total Balance is Rs 13,317.85 — the portion of the Rs 25,317.85 final bill not covered by deposits or credit billing.
- BHT/55351 has Rs 5,000 in post-final payments and Rs 25,100 billed to AIA Insurance Lanka PLC. Since deposits + post-final payments + credit billed (Rs 30,100) exceeds the Rs 25,100 final bill, Total Balance shows as -5,000.00 — an overpayment/credit in the patient's favor.
The Rs 5,000 post-final payment for BHT/55351 above was recorded via a Post Final Bill Payment, which prints a receipt showing the final bill total, amount paid previously, amount paid this time, and remaining balance:
