Inpatient Change Package
Lets staff add, change, or remove the Inpatient Package recorded on an already-admitted encounter, with every change recorded as an audit event.

This screen updates the record of which package the admission is under, and logs an audit event. Since a package no longer locks in any billing rows during the stay, there is nothing to reverse or reconcile when the package changes — the new package simply takes effect the next time the interim or final bill is computed. From the Inpatient Dashboard (admission_profile.xhtml), the Package panel shows the admission's
current package, or "No Package":

Click Change Package to open the dedicated Change Package page. The button is disabled once the admission is discharged.
The page shows the admission's context (BHT, patient, consultant, room, admission type) for confirmation, the current package, and a package search field:
- Select New Package, then Change — updates the admission to the selected package.
- Remove Package — clears the package back to "No Package", regardless of what (if anything) is currently selected in the search field.
- An admission that had no package can be given one this way too — this screen handles add, change, and remove with the same two buttons.
After Change: Current Package updates immediately and a success message confirms the change.
Every change — add, swap, or remove — is logged as an AuditEvent (eventTrigger = "Package Changed")
linked to the admission, with a before/after JSON snapshot of the package name, admission type, room
category, and total price.
