BSPAmbientLight

BSPAmbientLight:Void bsp:Int32, red:Float32, green:Float32, blue:Float32
Parameter Mode Type Default Description
bsp In Int32 required The level.
red In Float32 required Red part, 0 to 255.
green In Float32 required Green part, 0 to 255.
blue In Float32 required Blue part, 0 to 255.

Description

Sets the ambient light of a level, a color that is added to the light the level has, which is its lightmap or, with vertex lighting, the colors of its vertices. A new level starts at 0, 0, 0, so nothing is added. Levels ignore the normal AmbientLight, which is why this command exists. It can make a dark level easier to see, although using the gamma value of LoadBSP looks nicer in the original. To multiply the level with a color instead, use BSPLightmapColor.

Differences

  • The original also lights the vertices of a level with point and spot lights, which have no effect on a level here. The color is not changed by BSPLightmapColor.
