HWDither

HWDither:Int32

Returns: 2 if Dither 2 dithers what blending makes, else 1.

Description

Gives the highest value of Dither that does something on the graphics driver in use, or on the one that SetGfxDriver chose if no graphics window is open yet. It is 2 where the GPU can blend in the fragment shader, which takes the Vulkan extensions VK_KHR_dynamic_rendering_local_read and VK_EXT_rasterization_order_attachment_access, or else VK_EXT_fragment_shader_interlock, and 1 everywhere else. Even where it is 2, only targets with 8 bits per color are blended in the shader; buffers of 10 or 16 bits per color blend as with Dither 1. Dither 2 does what Dither 1 does where this is 1, so a program can ask for 2 without looking at this; it is for programs that want to say which one they get. This is a BlitzLLVM extension: the original has no such function, and Dither there only has on and off.
