SetSamplerAddressModeU 〔BlitzLLVM〕

SetSamplerAddressModeU:Void sampler:Int32, mode:Int32
Parameter Mode Type Default Description
sampler In Int32 required The sampler to change.
mode In Int32 required The address mode from the table above.

Description

〔BlitzLLVM〕 This command does not exist in the original Blitz products. BlitzLLVM adds it.

Chooses what is read where the horizontal texture coordinate (u) is not between 0 and 1. This is a BlitzLLVM extension: the originals read every texture with the settings of its flags and do not have samplers.

Mode Result
0 Repeat: the texture starts again, the default.
1 Mirror: every second repeat is turned around.
2 Clamp: the edge texel is stretched out.
3 Border: the color of SetSamplerBorderColor, opaque black by default.

SetSamplerAddressModeV does the same for the vertical coordinate (v), and SetSamplerAddressModeW for the depth coordinate (w), which flat textures do not use.

Differences

  • The mode has to be 0 to 3, other values stop the program with an error. Mirror once (the coordinate is mirrored and then clamped) is not offered, since not every graphics card can do it.
