ProjectedZ

ProjectedZ:Float32

Returns: The distance of the point in front of the camera. Negative for points behind it.

Description

Tells how far in front of the camera the point of the last CameraProject is. It is meant to tell you whether the point is visible at all, since a point behind the camera gives a screen position that would be drawn in the wrong place.

Differences

  • In the original this is the distance of the camera's near plane, a constant for every point; it is 0 when the point is not visible. Here it is the real distance in front of the camera, which is negative or 0 for points that can not be seen.
