TextureReady 〔BlitzLLVM〕

TextureReady:Int32 texture:Int32
Parameter Mode Type Default Description
texture In Int32 required The texture to ask about.

Returns: 1 if the texture is loaded, and 0 if it is still loading or does not exist.

Description

〔BlitzLLVM〕 This command does not exist in the original Blitz products. BlitzLLVM adds it.

Says whether a texture is completely loaded, without waiting for it. With AsyncLoading on, LoadTexture returns while the picture is still being decoded on another thread, and this is 1 once that is done and the texture is on the graphics card. Calling it also finishes the loading when it is done, so a loop that waits for it costs nothing. Without asynchronous loading every texture is ready as soon as LoadTexture returns, so this is always 1. Using the texture, for example with EntityTexture and RenderWorld, TextureWidth or TextureBuffer, never needs this call: it waits for the loading by itself.

This is a BlitzLLVM extension: the originals have no asynchronous loading.
