CreateHtmlView 〔BlitzLLVM〕

CreateHtmlView:Int32 x:Int32, y:Int32, width:Int32, height:Int32, group:Int32, style:Int32=0
Parameter Mode Type Default Description
x In Int32 required Horizontal position inside the group.
y In Int32 required Vertical position inside the group.
width In Int32 required Width of the gadget.
height In Int32 required Height of the gadget.
group In Int32 required The window or group the gadget is in.
style In Int32 0 0 nothing, 1 no context menu, 2 do not follow links. Defaults to 0.

Returns: The handle of the gadget.

Description

〔BlitzLLVM〕 This command does not exist in the original Blitz products. BlitzLLVM adds it.

Makes a gadget that is meant to show a web page, and returns its handle. The style 1 stops the context menu and 2 stops the user from following links (the link is then given by HtmlViewEventURL); both are accepted and ignored.

Differences

  • There is no web browser inside the window yet: the gadget is a frame that shows the address it was sent to, and no page is loaded. Windows could embed WebView for it; Linux and macOS have nothing similar. The original BlitzPlus had this command turned off in its runtime too.
