Long 〔BlitzLLVM〕

Long(value)
Long:Int64(value)

Returns: The Long.

Description

〔BlitzLLVM〕 This command does not exist in the original Blitz products. BlitzLLVM adds it.

Converts a number or a text to a Long, a 64-bit integer from -9223372036854775808 to 9223372036854775807. This is a BlitzLLVM extension: the originals only know Int and Float. A ULong above the limit wraps (Long(ULong(-1)) is -1), a real is rounded to the nearest whole number (halves go to the even one) and stops at the limits if it is outside. Use SatLong to stop a ULong at the limit as well. Whole numbers that are written larger than 32 bits in the program are Longs already.

Differences

  • Not in the originals, which have no integers of other sizes.
