SetSamplerFilterMip 〔BlitzLLVM〕

SetSamplerFilterMip:Void sampler:Int32, mode:Int32
Parameter Mode Type Default Description
sampler In Int32 required The sampler to change.
mode In Int32 required The filter mode from the table above.

Description

〔BlitzLLVM〕 This command does not exist in the original Blitz products. BlitzLLVM adds it.

Chooses how the mip levels of a texture are read. With 0 the level that is closest to the size on the screen is used, with 1 two levels are blended (trilinear filtering), which hides the jump from one level to the next. It only has an effect on a texture that has mip levels: use flag 8 or a DDS file that stores them, see Mip maps. This is a BlitzLLVM extension: the originals read every texture with the settings of its flags and do not have samplers.

Mode Result
0 Nearest: the texel that is closest, which shows blocks.
1 Linear: blends the texels around the point, the default.

Differences

  • The mode has to be 0 or 1, other values stop the program with an error.
