PlayMovie 〔BlitzLLVM〕

PlayMovie:Void movie:Int32
Parameter Mode Type Default Description
movie In Int32 required A movie handle from OpenMovie.

Description

〔BlitzLLVM〕 This command does not exist in the original Blitz products. BlitzLLVM adds it.

Lets a movie play on after PauseMovie, or from its start after StopMovie or when it has ended. The movie goes on from the picture and the sound where it was paused. A movie that was opened plays by itself the first time it is drawn or asked about, so this is only needed after a pause, or to start a movie that was paused before it was used. This is a BlitzLLVM extension: the originals can only play a movie to its end.

Differences

  • A debug build (-d) stops the program when the movie does not exist, for example the 0 of a movie that failed to open, other builds ignore the command, see Debug handle checks.

Examples

movie = OpenMovie("intro.mpg")
PauseMovie movie ; does not start by itself now
; ... load things, then:
PlayMovie movie
