CreatePhysicsWorld 〔BlitzLLVM〕

CreatePhysicsWorld:Int32 max_bodies:Int32=0
Parameter Mode Type Default Description
max_bodies In Int32 0 How many bodies the world can hold, 0 for 10240. Memory is reserved for them, so do not ask for far more than needed.

Returns: The handle of the world.

Description

〔BlitzLLVM〕 This command does not exist in the original Blitz products. BlitzLLVM adds it.

Creates a physics world of its own and returns its handle. A world holds rigid bodies and simulates them; bodies of different worlds never touch each other, which is how effects that would need a lot of work with boolean geometry (a region that only some things collide with, a second set of rules) are done. The default world, number 0, always exists once it is used and can not be freed.

Differences

  • The original has no such command. This is an extension; programs that use it do not compile with the original Blitz3D.
