PhysicsSolver 〔BlitzLLVM〕

PhysicsSolver:Void preset:Int32, world:Int32=0
Parameter Mode Type Default Description
preset In Int32 required 0 to 3.
world In Int32 0 The physics world, 0 (default) for the default world.

Description

〔BlitzLLVM〕 This command does not exist in the original Blitz products. BlitzLLVM adds it.

Chooses how exact the solver is. Jolt has one rigid body solver, so a preset is a set of values for the commands below, not another algorithm.

Preset Velocity iterations Position iterations Substeps Sleeping Continuous by default
0 balanced (default) 10 2 1 normal no
1 fast 4 1 1 sooner no
2 accurate 16 4 2 normal yes
3 custom what the commands below set

Setting any of the values by hand switches to 3. Preset 3 itself changes nothing. The values of fast and accurate are a starting point and may change.

Differences

  • The original has no such command. This is an extension; programs that use it do not compile with the original Blitz3D.
