PhysicsMode 〔BlitzLLVM〕

PhysicsMode:Void mode:Int32, world:Int32=0
Parameter Mode Type Default Description
mode In Int32 required 0 or 1.
world In Int32 0 The physics world, 0 (default) for the default world.

Description

〔BlitzLLVM〕 This command does not exist in the original Blitz products. BlitzLLVM adds it.

Chooses how PhysicsUpdate spends time.

  • 0 fixed steps (default): steps of exactly 1 / PhysicsRate seconds, as many as the time given adds up to. The same steps happen however long the frames take, and RenderWorld draws the bodies interpolated between the last two steps. The entity of a body says where the last step left it, the picture is a little behind it.
  • 1 frame steps: one step as long as the time given. Nothing is interpolated and nothing extra is done for drawing, but the result depends on the frame time.

Differences

  • The original has no such command. This is an extension; programs that use it do not compile with the original Blitz3D.
