   Paint Region (tool)

Drag across enclosed spaces to sweep them into one fill.

Three panes of the same lattice of lines crossed by a circle. A zigzag drag paints four faces into one shape, a Shift drag adds two more, and an Alt press takes one away.

Menu: Combine > Paint Region | In depth: Regions & booleans

Pick up the tool and drag across the enclosed spaces you want. Every space the cursor crosses joins a single fill, cut from the surrounding curves. It is the fast way to paint a shape out of a crossing lattice: one stroke instead of a click per cell.

With a fill already selected, Shift-drag adds more spaces to it and Alt-drag takes spaces back out.

Tip

Reach for Fill when you want one space, Paint Region when you want a run of them, and Auto Region when you want every space at once.
