   Reference in Nodes (command)

Add a Reference node in the node graph for each selected object.

A bridge schematic from the Modeling window into the Nodes window, carrying a selected object in as a Reference.

Reference in Nodes drops a Reference node into the node graph for each selected object, so the node side can build on your hand-drawn geometry.

You can also reference a dimension. A Reference node pointing at a dimension emits its measured value as a number into the graph, so a measured length or angle can drive what the nodes build. The Reference output's label follows the dimension's type - a length for aligned, horizontal, vertical, or radial dimensions, an angle for angular ones - and, because dimensions read live, the number updates as the geometry changes.

A reference image can be referenced too. The Reference node then carries the picture itself - not its rectangular frame - and its output reads Image, so Image Sample and Blur can work from an image you placed by hand.
