   Union (tool)

Merge two regions into one.

Two overlapping circular regions merged into one; the outer boundary is the result, in region orange, the original circles shown as neutral outlines.

Menu: Combine > Union | Node: Union | In depth: Regions & booleans

Pick two overlapping regions; Union merges them into a single region bounded by their outer edge.

The other way to build a complicated shape from simple ones: overlap them and fuse them, so the shared boundary between them disappears and one outline runs all the way round.

Order does not matter, and both selections have to be regions. If you have loose curves, make a region out of them first.
