   Point: On Object (tool)

A point that slides along a segment, line, arc, or circle.

A curve with a point riding on it, drawn as a green ring with a dot at its center, and a green double-headed arrow showing the point slides along the curve.

Menu: Construct > Point: On Object | In depth: Points

Click the object you want to pin to, then drop the point on it - it stays locked to that curve and slides along it when dragged.

The point is owned by the object, not just resting on it, so moving or resizing that object carries the point along instead of leaving it behind.

That ownership is the whole point of the command. Anything you build on the point stays tied to the curve, so a construction rides along a circle as the circle changes.
