Modeling Menus

   File menu

The File menu - start, open, save, import, and export your designs.

Each command links into the guide that covers it in depth.

New - clear to an empty design.

Open - open a .locus design from your computer.

Append - append another .locus design into this one, as its own group.

Save - save this design to your computer.

Save As - write the design to a new file and work there from now on (Shift-Cmd-S).

Revert to Saved - throw away every change since the last save and reload the file from disk.

Import Image - bring in a reference image, pinned by two draggable points.

Import SVG - import an SVG as baked outline paths (exact lines, arcs, and Béziers).

Export Selected as SVG - write the selected shapes out as SVG, in millimeters.

Export DXF - the same, as DXF, in either R12 or AutoCAD 2000.

  Open Recent - reopen a recently-used design.
