Export DXF (command)

Write the selected shapes out as DXF, in either flavor.

Menu: File > Export DXF | In depth: Exporting DXF

The same selection and save flow as Export Selected as SVG, writing DXF instead.

Two flavors, chosen per export rather than set once in preferences: R12 and AutoCAD 2000. R12 is the older and more widely accepted of the two; 2000 carries more.

As with SVG, only the selection is written, skipped geometry is counted and reported, and the node window can export directly from a node.

Exporting is one of the licensed commands.

This command has no icon in the app yet, so this page carries none rather than borrowing one.
