Translate XY node icon   Translate XY (node)

Copy geometry stepped by a typed X/Y offset (n copies), each a distinct group; the numeric twin of Move.

Translate XY effect: an L-shape stepped by a numeric X then Y offset into repeated copies, the offset shown as a right-angle dimension off the lower-right corner.

Inputs

  • Geometry (any): the shape(s) to step into copies.
  • X (number): the horizontal offset between successive copies, in mm.
  • Y (number): the vertical offset between successive copies, in mm.
  • Count (number): how many copies to make; copy k lands at k x (X, Y).
  • Add OG (on/off): also keep the original in place alongside the copies.

Outputs

  • Geometry (any): the copies as a list, each a distinct group.

What it is for

Steps geometry into a row of copies by a typed offset. X and Y set how far each copy lands from the one before, and Count says how many.

The same job as Move, with numbers instead of two points. Reach for this when you know the spacing, and for Move when the step should be measured off geometry you have already drawn. Add OG keeps the original in place alongside the copies.
