Perpendicular node icon   Perpendicular (node)

An infinite line through a point, perpendicular to a line's direction.

A reference line and a Through point; the node draws an infinite line through the point at 90 degrees to the line's direction, with a right-angle mark where the two lines cross.

Inputs

Inputs grow as you wire them in - this node adds sockets as you connect.

Outputs

  • Line (curve): the perpendicular line.

The Line input

Line takes only its direction from the first segment, line, or ray in the geometry you wire in. The node emits a line at 90 degrees to that direction through each Through point. The input line's position doesn't matter - just its direction.
