   Point: Midpoint (tool)

The point halfway between two points.

Two points A and B joined by a segment, with the point blue midpoint at the center and equal ticks on each half.

Menu: Construct > Point: Midpoint | Node: Midpoint | In depth: Points

Click the two points. The midpoint updates live as either end moves.

A shortcut. Finding a midpoint properly means striking two arcs and drawing the line between where they cross; this gets you there in two clicks.

The result is still a constructed point, not a free one: it is worked out from the two ends, so you cannot drag it and it never drifts off center as the drawing changes.
