node intersection points

A point wherever the boundaries of the two inputs cross (lines, circles, arcs, regions).
Distinct from the boolean Intersect (which keeps the shared area).
Category: Combine | Add menu: Combine > Intersection Points
- A (any): the first shape.
- B (any): the second shape.
- Points (point): the points where the two shapes cross.
Gives you a point wherever two shapes' boundaries cross. Not the shared area, which is what Intersect makes, but the crossings themselves, as points you can build on.
It reads boundaries, so it works on lines, circles, arcs and regions alike, and a region contributes its outline rather than its fill. The output is a list, since two shapes usually cross in more than one place.
Drawn extent only. Every curve of A is solved against every curve of B and a hit is kept only where both are actually drawn. Nothing is extended: two segments that miss each other produce no point here, and an arc answers only along its own sweep.
That is where this node and the modeling window part company. Points: Intersection on the canvas reads a segment or a ray as the whole line it lies on, so it will name a crossing out beyond the ends. The node will not. If you want that crossing in the node graph, extend the geometry yourself.

- In the modeling view: Points: Intersection - the same crossings on the canvas, except that it extends segments and rays to their carrier lines and this node does not.
