   Dimension: Linear (tool)

A linear dimension that follows the geometry.

A linear dimension above a measured segment: extension lines, a dimension line with arrows, and the value 26.0 mm; a third click places the dimension line.

Menu: Draw > Dimension: Linear | In depth: Dimensions

Click the two points to measure - or pick a segment or edge to dimension its length - then click to place the dimension line. The value updates live as the geometry changes - Locus works in millimeters.

A linear dimension measures one of three ways: Aligned (the default - the straight distance along the line joining the two points), Horizontal (the X span only), or Vertical (the Y span only). Right-click an existing dimension to switch between the three; the number re-reads from the same picks.

For a circle's radius use Dimension: Radial; for the angle between two edges use Dimension: Angle. See Dimensions for the whole family, styling, and export.
