   Line: Parallel (tool)

A line through a point, parallel to another line's direction.

A reference line and a Through point, with the constructed line running parallel through the point, marked with chevrons.

Menu: Construct > Line: Parallel | Node: Parallel | In depth: Lines, rays & segments

Pick the reference line, then the point. The new line takes only the reference's direction - its position doesn't matter.

The tool stays armed on the same reference line after each one, so you can draw several parallels through different points off the one line in a row without re-picking it. Press Esc to release the reference.
