node intersect
< Previous: Union | Next: Difference >
Keep only the area common to regions A and B.
Category: Combine | Add menu: Combine > Intersect
Inputs grow as you wire them in - this node adds sockets as you connect.
- Region (region): the overlapping area of A and B.
Keeps only the area two regions share, discarding everything outside the overlap. The usual way to trim a pattern to a frame: wire the pattern and the outline you want it to fit inside, and everything beyond the outline is gone.
Order does not matter, unlike Difference. Both inputs have to be regions, so run Region: Curves first if you have loose curves. No overlap means no output.
< Previous: Union | Next: Difference >
- In the modeling view: Intersect - apply the same intersection directly on the canvas.
- Union: merge both | Difference - subtract one from the other | Region: Curves - make the regions to combine.
