Stamp a copy of a geometry onto every point in a list; its Base Point lands on each point (centroid if unwired).
Rotation/Scale apply about the base point and each take a number or a value Field (sampled where the copy lands)
Category: Transform | Add menu: Transform > Place
- Geometry (any): the shape to stamp onto each point.
- Points (point): the target sites; one copy lands on each.
- Base Point (point): the spot on the source that lands on each point; defaults to the centroid.
- Rotation (any): spin about the base point before the move; a number, a value field sampled where the copy lands, or a list (one per copy).
- Scale (any): resize about the base point before the move; a number, a value field sampled where the copy lands, or a list (one per copy).
- Geometry (any): the stamped copies as a list, each its own group.
Both Rotation and Scale are typed any and apply about the copy's base point before it is moved onto its target:
- A number: the same rotation / scale for every copy.
- A value field: sampled at each target point, so each copy is turned or resized by the image where it lands.
< Previous: Array: Directed | Next: PlaceVariant >
- PlaceVariant: stamp a different member of a Collection at each site instead of one fixed shape.
