Dimension: Linear node icon   Dimension: Linear (node)

A linear dimension between two points - build a measurement annotation right in the graph.

Inputs

  • Point 1 (point) / Point 2 (point): the span to measure.
  • Distance (any, editable): how far the dimension line floats off the span. Wire a point and the line passes through it (the distance socket, like the Directed Rectangle's Width), or give a number or a value field.
  • Type: a dropdown: Aligned (distance along a->b), Horizontal (|Δx|), or Vertical (|Δy|). A wired integer overrides it by index (0/1/2).

Outputs

  • Dimension (any): a dimension payload, materialized into a real model dimension by Realize. The output is a list (each entry indexes its own points), so wire it through Collect to gather many dimensions at once.

What it is for

The same idea across a span rather than around a corner. Point 1 and Point 2 set what is measured, Distance sets how far the dimension line floats off it, and Type chooses whether that reads along the span or as pure horizontal or vertical.

Like the other dimension nodes it produces an annotation, not geometry, and stays invisible until Realize.

  • A node-made dimension behaves and exports exactly like a hand-drawn one, on the same Annotations layer.
