Modeling Menus

   Paste (command)

Drop what is on the clipboard back into the model.

An L-shape and its copy dropped beside it in blue, joined by an arrow.

Menu: Edit > Paste | In depth: Duplicate, detach & ownership

Paste drops the copies in beside the originals, in a folder of their own. They are independent from the moment they land: moving the originals afterward does not move them.

The construction comes with them, hidden if the original's was hidden. So if you had tidied the scaffolding out of sight before copying, the copy arrives tidy too instead of putting it all back on screen.

The copies arrive selected, ready to drag where you want them.

Shortcut: Cmd-V, or Ctrl-V on Windows.
